RankPulse Index
RankingChart Index

The RankPulse Index (RPI) provides an overall glimpse into the daily fluctuations of Google results. The value of the index on any given day represents the number of positions websites moved within the top ten for a particular keyword among the 1000 keywords that we track. An RPI value of 0 means that no websites changed their position from the previous day. An index value of 110,000 means that every website in the top ten of every keyword we track was replaced by new websites.

The ranking activity values listed on this table are determined by the number of changes in the top ten list for the given keyword since yesterday. If #3 and #5 replaced eachother in a search for a particular keyword (and there was no other movement in the top ten) the ranking activity score for that day would be 4 (one moved up two spots and the other moved down two spots and 2 + 2 = 4). The highest possible ranking activity score is 110 which would occur if all top ten results were replaced with new websites.
